Reason for urgency: The council was successful in a funding bid. To ensure a contractor is appointed to complete the work to meet the terms of the grant, the award of contract cannot wait until the next scheduled Executive meeting in September. The decision is key due to the value of teh contract. As the key decision was not included on the Executive Forward Plan giving the required 28 days’ notice, the Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee has agreed to the item being considered.
