Committee details
Planning Committee
Purpose of committee
The Planning Committee is a regulatory Committee which meets every 4 weeks. The Committee makes decisions in relation to major planning applications, authorises action to be taken to deal with a breach of planning rules as well as considering other planning related matters. Not all planning decisions are made by the Committee, many are determined by Council Officers through delegated powers.
Members of the public can, in certain circumstances, speak at Planning Committee. You will be able to address the meeting virtually or in-person. Please contact the Democratic and Elections team on 01295 221534 for further information.
Please note that requests to address Planning Committee will not be accepted until an application is included on a published agenda.
The deadline to register to speak at Planning Committee is noon on the day before a meeting.
