Under the Police
Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 the 18 local authorities
in the Thames Valley have created a Police and Crime Panel. The
Panel will scrutinise the work of the Thames Valley Police and
Crime Commissioner.
It is made up of 1
councillor from each of the 18 local authorities in the region and
2 co-opted members.
Cherwell District
Council appoints its representative and named substitute at the
Annual Council meeting. For the 2026/2027 municipal year, the CDC
representative is Councillor Robert Parkinson. The named substitute
is Councillor Lesley McLean.
The Thames Valley Police and
Crime Panel is now hosted by Buckinghamshire Council. Details of
