(1)               That Adderbury Parish Council be given delegated power to establish a local nature reserve.

Reasons for the decision:

Adderbury Parish Council would like to designate land they own at AdderburyLakes as a Local Nature Reserve (a “LNR”). The Parish Council does not have the power to establish a LNR unless such power is delegated to them by the District Council.

The power under section 21 National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 to establish a LNR can be delegated (with the agreement of both parties) to Adderbury Parish Council pursuant to section 101 Local Government Act 1972.
