To appoint representatives to Partnerships, Outside Bodies, internal Working Groups and Member Champions for the municipal year 2017/18.

Resolved

1.1      That appointments to partnerships, outside bodies, internal Working Groups and Member Champions for 2017/18 be made as set out in Annexe 1.

1.2      That authority be delegated to the Assistant Director – Transformational Governance, in consultation with the Leader, to appoint Members to outstanding vacancies and make changes to appointments as may be required for the remainder of the 2017/18 Municipal Year. 

The report is in accordance with the conclusions of the review of Partnerships and Outside Bodies.

It is proposed that representatives are appointed to Partnerships, Outside Bodies and Member Champions as set out at Appendix 1.

Delegation to the Assistant Director – Transformational Governance provides flexibility for the remainder of the Municipal Year to appoint to the outstanding vacancies, or if amendments are required to any appointments, and ensures they are made in a timely manner

Option 1: Make no appointments to partnerships, outside bodies and internal working groups. Rejected as this would mean the Council was not represented on partner organisations and outside bodies within the District.
