Under the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 the 18 local authorities in the Thames Valley have created a Police and Crime Panel. The Panel will scrutinise the work of the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner.

 

It is made up of 1 councillor from each of the 18 local authorities in the region and 2 co-opted members.

 

Cherwell District Council appoints its representative and named substitute at the Annual Council meeting. The representative for 2024/2025 is Councillor Rob Parkinson, Portfolio Holder for Regulatory. The named substitute is Councillor David Hingley, Leader of the Council.
